ChatChap is an instant messaging app designed with privacy and security at its core. In the near future, we plan to expand our features to include cryptocurrency transfer capabilities, making ChatChap a comprehensive platform for secure communication and transactions.
Your Privacy, Our Priority
Unlike other messaging apps, we ensure that your communications and personal data remain completely private. All messages are encrypted, meaning only your intended recipient can decrypt and read them. Not even we can access your messages.
No Phone Number Required
We don’t ask for your phone number, and we don’t store any personal information about you. To register, you only need to provide an email address, which is then hashed using a one-way function. This process converts your email into a random string that cannot be reversed, ensuring your privacy.
Secure Account Management
All your contacts’ email addresses undergo the same hashing process. When you connect to ChatChap, the app searches our server for any existing accounts linked to those hashed email addresses. If you ever lose your phone or reinstall ChatChap, simply re-enter your email address, and after hashing, we’ll reconnect you to your account with all your contacts intact.
End-to-End Encryption
ChatChap employs end-to-end encryption to ensure that your messages remain private and secure. Only you and the intended recipient can read the messages.
Ephemeral Messaging
Your messages are not stored on our servers permanently. As soon as ChatChap connects to our server, any messages addressed to you are downloaded and decrypted on your device. Messages older than a week are automatically discarded.
Security Beyond Compare
While no system can be 100% secure against highly sophisticated attacks, we’ve implemented triple encryption to safeguard your data. You can feel confident that your communications on ChatChap are as secure as possible.
No Metadata Storage
We do not store any metadata related to your communications, such as timestamps, message history, or contact lists. Once a message is delivered and the 7-day period has passed, it is permanently removed from our servers.
No Advertisements or Analytics
ChatChap is free of advertisements, trackers, and analytics. We do not track your usage of the app, and we do not share any information with third parties.
